Drop AFK

The Drop AFK glitch allows a player to enter a boss arena with a desired angle without triggering the Boss AI, leaving the boss idle. It is also a powerful tool for performing skips by allowing the player to clip out of bounds.

Performing this glitch requires frame-perfect inputs, it is preferably done on a keyboard, though it remains possible on console and controller.

  • AI Initialization: For certain bosses, you must trigger their AI at least once (by entering the arena normally and then dying or quitting out) before the Drop AFK will work effectively.
  • Compatibility: This glitch does not work on every boss. Some fog gates have geometry that is not compatible with the clip.
  • Invulnerability: In some cases, a boss will not take damage if their AI is not activated. For example, Kalameet will remain invulnerable to damage if you bypass his trigger using this method.

How to Perform the Drop AFK

  1. Setup: You must have two separate keys or buttons bound to the "Action" command.
  2. Positioning: Drop an item in front of the fog gate.
  3. Alignment: Find the specific angle that aligns your character's feet with your objective. By using DSR Gadget you can take a look to your angle.
  4. Execution: Press your first Action button, followed exactly one frame later by your second Action button.

This glitch requires a lot of practice to master the timing and positioning.
